Tour 3

Day One:

Arrive in Washington, D.C.
Meet your Tour Manager, who will escort you through the duration of your activities
Sightseeing may include a panoramic tour of Historic Washington, D.C.
Check into your hotel
Dinner at a local restaurant
Take an evening walking tour of the Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and National World War II Memorials, as well as a view of the outside of the Washington Monument
Return to the hotel for overnight

 

Day Two: Saturday, February 18, 2017 | February 17, 2018

Breakfast at the hotel
Visit Ford’s Theater, where Lincoln was shot, and the Peterson House, where Lincoln passed away
Take a tour of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Remember the Children: Daniel’s Story
Lunch, on own
Take a tour of one of the Smithsonian Institution Museums
Take a walk along Pennsylvania Avenue for a view of the White House
(White House visits must be requested through a member of Congress)
Visit Capitol Hill and see the Supreme Court and Capitol buildings
Dinner at a local restaurant
Return to the hotel for overnight

 

Day Three: Sunday, February 19, 2017 | February 18, 2018

Breakfast at the hotel
Take a tour of one of the Smithsonian Institution Museums
Lunch, on own
Visit Arlington National Cemetery and participate in a special wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (pending confirmation)
Dinner at a local restaurant
Take an evening walking tour of the Jefferson Memorial and the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial
Return to the hotel for overnight

 

Day Four: Monday, February 20, 2017 | February 19, 2018

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
Morning sound check at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Lunch at the KC Café
Explore the Kennedy Center facilities
Capital Orchestra Festival Performance at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Following the performance, depart for home
